Ultrasound has many healing benefits(1); it encourages tissue relaxation and accelerates the breakdown of scar tissue. It stimulates the production of collagen and increases local blood flow(2) which helps to reduce swelling and chronic inflammation.
Ultrasound is completely painless – we cover the affected area with a gel and use a probe directly onto the skin.
